Dear Partners,
These personal Partners Letters are being sent to our faithful Partners only.
Firstly, Jenny and I would like to thank you for your willingness to partner with us. It makes all things impossible, possible, and for that we are truly grateful to you and to God.
Partnership is by God’s design and it works incredibly well. There is simply no better system for supernatural provision, He provides seed for the sower and labourers for the harvest and multiplies it all by His riches in glory!
So, as we seek to be a blessing to you, our intention is to share, on a regular basis, some faith-building materials that will help you on your personal journey.
Water seeks its own Level
So that He might sanctify the church, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word [of God], so that [in turn] He might present the church to Himself in glorious splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy [set apart for God] and blameless (Ephesians 5:25-27 NIV).
Let’s begin with this simple question: Did you know that water will always seek its own level? No matter where it is, whether it’s up in the Himalayas or in the swamps of Africa! It is a natural phenomenon. Water literally seeks itself out. Scientifically proven it is also synonymous with quality will find quality. Each kind will find its own. Birds of a feather will flock together or scripture says, “To the pure all things are pure” (Titus 1:15).
Now, I propose that water as the Word of God also seeks itself out. In heaven we’re told that pure water surrounds the thrown of grace (Revelation 4:6), better known as the river of life (Revelation 22:1). Out of our inner being, come forth rivers of living water! (John 7:38). And our opening scripture says that we are washed with the water of His Word (Ephesians 5:25).
So whether scientifically or spiritually, water always seeks its own level. God’s Word like water “runneth swiftly” and won’t settle until it finds itself! Deep calls unto deep (Psalm 42:7). And being “hidden with Christ in God,” means that His Word in us must seek itself out…
Referring again to our opening scripture Ephesians 5:26 in the Young’s Literal Translation says, “That he might sanctify it, having cleansed [it] with the bathing of the water in the saying…” Referring to the spoken sayings of God being like pure water. Rhema is God breathed and God spoken, which gives and sustains life. Jesus told his disciples, “the
sayings
that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life”
(John 6:63 YLT).
So in this context, “the washing of water with the word,” refers to Rhema (God’s spoken truth, His “sayings”).
Considering the first chapter of Genesis, much of what took place was about water. In fact much of Genesis chapter one is about water! The Holy Spirit hovered on the waters and then the waters had to separate and were later teaming with life. So water is a fundamental part of everything in life, starting in Genesis and culminating around the very throne of God in the book of Revelations.
So what’s the significance to us now?
The water we are talking about, that seeks its own level is the kind of water that is “pure,” “washes,” and is like “crystal” that surrounds the very throne of God. Living waters that flow from the very heart of God and finds its level in the hearts of men… YOU!
We must be living conduits, that allow the Holy Spirit to hover and separate the polluted waters from the pure.
God’s crystal water, (His spoken Word) must be allowed to seek its own level in and through our lives. It won’t settle until it does! Remember, “the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea” (Habakkuk 2:14 KJV).
We pray that His Water will overflow in your life…
Thank you for partnering with All Things APMI this month.
