Passion Fruit!
“I am consumed with a fiery passion…” (John 2:17, Psalm 69:9 TPT)
Today’s title is a play-on-words because Jesus is passionate about fruit - ours in particular - because it reflects on Him. Mel Gibson’s, The Passion of the Christ, was a masterful portrayal of Jesus, (not the docile Christ!)
In reality Jesus’ passion was unapologetic (impolite), even before the cross, as He emptied the temple court, turned over tables and called religious hierarchy a “Generation of vipers.” The question is why did He get passionate with a tree!
“No one will ever eat fruit from you again!” …Peter remembered and said to him, “Teacher, look! That’s the fig tree you cursed. It’s now all shrivelled up and dead” (Mark 11:14, 20-21 TPT).
In fact Jesus didn’t “curse” the tree, He “spoke” to it (there’s a difference). Impetuous as ever, Peter only spoke what everyone else was thinking: “Jesus! What’s that tree ever done to you? It’s not even in season!”
Actually Jesus’ passion connects with His incorruptible seed inside of us, which has the power to be fruitful in season and out: “Rise to the occasion… when it is convenient and when it is not…” (2 Timothy 4:2). The purpose: “When your lives bear abundant fruit, you demonstrate that you are my mature disciples who glorify my Father” (John 15:8 TPT).
* GOD WANTS US TO BELIEVE FOR INSTANT MULTIPLICATION *
Agriculture 101 can be defined simply by: “Seed + Time = Harvest.” And basically harvest is just multiplication, which usually requires time. Yet we sense that God wants us all, to believe Him for harvests that are INSTANT. (The key however is that Jesus gave THANKS).
Jesus then took the barley loaves and the fish and gave thanks to God. He then gave it to the disciples to distribute to the people. Miraculously, the food multiplied, with everyone eating as much as they wanted! (John 6:10-11 TPT)
Don’t ever underestimate the power of a single seed. EVERY-SINGLE-SEED-SOWN-MULTIPLIES! “He multiplies the seed as you sow it, so that the harvest of your generosity will grow” (2 Corinthians 9:10 TPT).
Plus, whatever seed might seem puny or insignificant to the naked eye, actually gives Jesus something tangible to work with: “Look! Here’s a young person with five barley loaves and two small fish . . . but how far would that go with this huge crowd?” (John 6:9 TPT)
Even after multiplication occurs, El Shaddai, (He Who is more than enough), requires us to be good stewards of the overflow: “When everyone was satisfied, Jesus told his disciples, “Now go back and gather up the pieces left over so that nothing will be wasted.” The disciples filled up twelve baskets of fragments, a basket of leftovers for each disciple… (John 6:12-13. See also Mark 6:34-44, Matthew 14:13-21, Luke 9:12-17 TPT).
So Jesus simply took one little boy’s packed-lunch and created 5,000 more! He took what was tangible and available and vastly multiplied it. Demonstrating that what is “puny and small” can go a very long way! Every seed counts. Whether it’s the mustard seed or the widow’s mite – God can take it and multiply it – if we give Him something to work with:
*Any amount €5, €10, €20, €50 or more… can be multiplied*
So as you break your bread with “THANKSGIVING” and sow your tangible seed into the fertile soil of this ministry (of all things APMI), WE PROPHESY OVER YOU INSTANT MULTIPLICATION!
Amen & Hallelujah…
Be BLESSED as you sow your monthly seed.
